There’s no sugarcoating it, this house needs a lot of love. However, close your eyes and imagine what this house used to look like. Just look at the millwork around the front porch. What’s also great is that the City of Dillsboro is providing grants to take on projects like this to preserve the history of the town. It would certainly be a project but hopefully that economic incentive will help someone come in and restore this beautiful Victorian.

The wood work inside and out is nothing short of amazing. The exterior woodwork is restorable and many pieces missing outside have been put inside for safe keeping. I admit that the stairwell is the prettiest I have ever seen. New electrical service added and wire pulled through most of the home. Most all debris drop ceilings and plaster has been removed. Town of Dillsboro facade grant will accept applications November 2025. The Town will match dollar for dollar up to $10,000 on $20,000 of repairs. A Stellar grant has been awarded to the Town providing funds for streetscape projects.
