This House is One Heck of a Mix of Eccentricity and Historic Charm! Circa 1900 in Kentucky. $274,900

I kind of don’t know what to say about this house. The pressed tin ceiling in the living room, the exposed brick, the pocket doors, and stained glass all scream historic charm. But they’re mixed in with some design choices. I won’t knock anyone’s style – to each their own – this one has a lot going on. Most of this is cosmetic so someone could make some design changes that would make this feel more historic. I love the features it has and can see the potential. Weird, eccentric, bland, you name it, an old house is still an old house to us!

From the listing

Charming and unique with so many artistic details. The floor plan is flexible depending on how YOU want to use it. The main room can be a living room, or use the side entrance to the sitting room and the main can be a large bedroom. Off the main hall is a bedroom, huge walk-in closet with washer/dryer and a full bath that is a must see! The cozy sitting room has exposed brick walls and an antique cast iron fireplace mantel. The large eat-in kitchen has a triple bowl stainless steel sink and all appliances will remain–even the vintage gas stove and antique cupboard. The sunroom spans across the back and beyond that is a nice back yard with patio space for outdoor living and entertainment.
